Gozo is a walker’s paradise; you can choose leisurely strolls or challenging hikes, all with breathtaking views. In spring the island is alive with beautiful flowers and shrubs which line the coastal and cliff top paths. Gozo has about 45 kilometers of coastline to explore as well as sleepy villages boasting magnificent churches and fascinating architecture. If you want to ‘make a day’ of it let us provide you with a healthy lunch from our ‘packed lunch’ menu, and a handy guide book. For the more adventurous hiker, we suggest walking boots and pole or walking stick.

Sea Kayaking is an excellent way for young and old alike to experience the beautiful shorelines of the Maltese Islands. Paddle through stunning scenery, explore caves, and stop at quiet spots for snorkeling and relaxing. A full day trip includes all the kayaking, snorkeling and safety equipment needed, an experienced and qualified guide (English or German speaking available) and a picnic lunch.

A wonderful way to see the Maltese Islands is to take a day trip on one of the many family run cruise boats. Usually leaving from Mgarr or Marsalforn you can choose between a full day taking you on a magical tour of both Gozo and Comino where you can swim in the blue lagoon, visit the beautiful bay of San Blas and, admire the magnificence of the Azure window. Lunch is included on this excursion and there is a bar on board.  Alternatively you can take a trip round Comino and visit the stunning caves and bays that offer wonderful opportunities for snorkeling, swimming and sunbathing. Your hosts are happy to provide packed lunches for this excursion. Private boat charters are also available if you prefer to hire exclusively for your party. Evening BBQ’s on the island of Comino can also be arranged.

The Maltese island’s clear blue sea is ideal for all forms of diving.  Gozo offers superb diving with caves, reefs and wrecks making it one of the most fascinating dive sites in the Mediterranean. Crystal clear calm waters offer excellent visibility, be sure to look out for flying fish, red mullet, groupers, parrot fish and amberjack squid to name but a few.

The combination of sheer cliffs, shelves, caves, sandy and rocky sea beds with sunken wrecks means there is a vast array of flora and fauna on which to feast your eyes. Gozo offers a wide range of dive sites from the Inland Sea and tunnel at Dwejra to the magnificent cliffs and reef at Ta Cenc.

Snorkeling is an exciting alternative for the amphibious holiday maker, with average summer sea temperatures of 23 degrees, the lack of strong tides and currents and visibility up to 30 metres makes the Mediterranean Sea a favourite for scuba divers and snorkelers alike.

Most dive centres have boats, enabling off shore diving, and transport to and from dive sites. Whether you are a beginner or an accomplished diver the waters round Gozo cannot fail to give you a truly memorable underwater experience.

A great way to discover the delights of Gozo is to take a jeep safari. Your personal driver will show you all the main attractions including a stop at Xlendi Bay for lunch and swimming. Alternatively the ‘hop on hop off’ sightseeing bus takes you on a tour of Gozo and you choose where you want to get off and explore. For the more adventurous, why not treat yourself to a trip on the seaplane where you can view the islands from above, an experience not to be missed. Your hosts will happily book any of these tours for you.

Quad biking is an exciting way to see Gozo, your guide will take you on a thrilling ride to discover the island’s landscapes, or maybe you would prefer to hire a mountain bike and discover Gozo for yourself? We will happily pack you off with a delicious lunch to see you through the day.

Gozo offers a wide variety of activities, from horse riding where you can take in the breath taking vistas while enjoying a leisurely ride on horseback. Windsurfing or sailing across the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea and for those more daring, the challenge of Rock climbing! If, however, you want peace and tranquility for a ‘getting away from it all’ holiday Gozo with its secluded bays, sleepy villages, friendly locals and peaceful atmosphere, is certainly the place for you.
